CONSTITUTION:The power distribution system comprises power source side overvoltage, overfrequency and low frequency detector 124P and load side overvoltage, overfrequency and low frequency detector 124S at power source and load sides of individual line switches 12. When the load side of the switch 12 which is opened due to a fault or a cause of a power distribution line construction, etc., becomes an overvoltage, an overfrequency or a low frequency, the fault is detected by the detectors 124P, 124S, and closing of the switch 12 is prevented.
