PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor with an undercoat layer of >=0.5mum thickness formed using an organometallic compd. so as to protect the substrate, to prevent the corrosion of the substrate, to cover defects on the substrate and to prevent the electrical breakdown of the photosensitive layer.
