Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a silver halide emulsion suitable for use in a photosensitive material high in contrast and handleable under the light for a long time and unaffected in photographic characteristics by humidity. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion comprises at least 80mol% silver chloride and contains at least one kind of 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole derivative and further, a rhodium salt in an amount of 10-10mol per 1mol of silver halide and the emulsion has an average grain diameter of 0.1-0.05mum.
