COOLING WATER COOLER BYPASS CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To prevent supercooling during normal operation by providing a cooling water cooling bypass tube in a power plant and a regulating valve to be regulated according to number of operating generator facilities and cooling water amount at the tube, and so controlling, when a stop shaft exists, as to allow a specified amount or more to flow to a bypass side. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water discharged from shaft cooling pumps 1-3 in a combined cycle plant having four shafts is heat exchanged with sea water by cooling water coolers 8-11 of shaft facilities, and then supplied to unit cooler groups 24-27 of the respective shafts to cool the units. In this case, bypass tubes 16-19 having flow regulating valves 12-15 are so arranged to be disposed as to round about the coolers 8-11. When one shaft-operation and three-shaft stop is executed corresponding to power demand at night, etc., the cooling water is conducted, for example, only to the cooler 8 of the operation shaft side. When its cooling water conducting amount exceeds the specified flow rate, an opening of the valve 12 is regulated to prevent supercooling of the cooler 8.
