METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING NOTCH HAVING SLANT FACE ON EDGE OF PLATE TO BE WORKED

PURPOSE:To cut a plate to be worked in both forward and backward motions so as to improve the cutting efficiency by providing a reciprocating saw with a spiral saw which is so constructed that grinding powder adheres to a twisted shaft having a square section. CONSTITUTION:A first notch 43 of a first guide plate 42 is aligned with a notch of a jig plate 31 by the first guide plate 42 and the second guide plate 45 to clamp the jig plate 31 and a plate C to be worked. A pair of guide bodies 61 are brought into contact with a projection guide 49 provided in the periphery of the second notch 48 of the second guide plate 45 and the first notch 43. While a spiral saw 33 formed by making grinding powder adhere to a twisted shaft having a square section is moved in the reciprocating manner by a reciprocating saw 34, the reciprocating saw 34 is moved along the projection guide 49 and the first notch 43 to cut the plate C to be worked and form a notch having a slant face on the plate C to be worked. The slant face is formed in the periphery of the notch. Thus, the cutting efficiency can be improved by forming the spiral saw 33.
