PASS LINE ADJUSTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a pass line adjusting device which can firmly lock the position of a roll at rolling with a simple constitution and is not likely to lower adjusting precision due to deformation, etc. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a wedge member 2, which is placed under both bearings of a lower roll set L, on the inclined face 8a of a housing 8 of mill M and has the inclined faces 6a, 7a facing to the inclined face 8a of the same direction/same horizontal angle, and a rod 3, in which its one end is pin-connected to the end part of wedge member 2. Further, the device is constituted of a hydraulic cylinder 4, in which its piston rod is connected to the other end of rod 3 and which moves the member 2 in horizontal direction, and a forced fitted type sleeve 5 to hold the wedge member 2 at any position, which is fitted to outside the rod 3 and is fixed to the hydraulic cylinder 4.
