SILICON-CONTAINING AZOLES AND ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT

PURPOSE:To produce a fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes which is a combination of a specific silicon-containing azole with a microbicidal agent, has a wide range of fungicidal spectrum and shows stabilized control effect even against resistant microorganisms with reduced dose, and can be applied to foliage, seeds, soil and water surface. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises a compound of formula I (A is 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or imidazol-1-yl; n is 1 to 3; X is H, halogen, phenyl, alkyl, alkoxy) and a microbicidal agent as active ingredients, thus develops high synergetic effect. The microbicidal agent to be used here is particularly selected from 1,5-pentanedial, 2,5-dimethoxytetrahydrofurane, glyoxal, benzalkonium chloride, 1,2-benzoylthiazoline-3-one, cupric hydroxide, 4-chloro-2- xylenol, 4-chloro-2-cresol, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, from compounds of formulas VII and III.
