EXTERIOR PAPER SUCTION PAD-ACTUATING DEVICE IN CUTTING AND UNSEALING DEVICE FOR EXTERIOR PAPER WRAPPING ROLL OF PAPER

PURPOSE:To unpack an exterior paper which wraps up a roll of paper like newsprint without damages on the roll of paper, by tilting the suction face of a suction pad so as to always coincide with the peripheral curvature of the exterior paper. CONSTITUTION:A pair of suction pads P, P are arranged so as to stride over a cutting line of an exterior paper 1 and respective suction pads are independently supported to be vertically movable. When one end of support rods 5A, 5B of suction pad is vertically moved by the extending or contracting movement of movable cylinders 7A, 7B, the arcuate motion guide face 8B formed at the center of the support rod 5B of suction pad is conducted by the arcuate motion guide member 9B installed at the suction head 3B and it draws an arcuate motion so as to cross at right angles to the suction face of the suction pad with the arc center at the nearly upper face of the exterior paper. In this way, since the suction pad P sucks always in just front of the exterior paper 1, the suction is strong and accurate. And since a pair of suction pads P, P move up and down independently, a tearing force is generated and hence, the exterior paper can be securely cut.
