SHOCK ABSORBING STRUCTURE OF INTERIOR TRIM MATERIAL OF AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To provide the practically constant shock absorbing characteristic by providing a plurality of plate-shaped ribs made of resin in a projecting manner from the interior trim material outward, and providing a compressive pad in small sections in the structure where the shock is absorbed by the interior trim material arranged inward of a panel of the cabin. CONSTITUTION:In the interior trim material 22 arranged inward of a panel 20 such as a door panel of an automobile with the interval of D, a plurality of plate-shaped ribs 24 are provided in a projecting manner, and small sections 28 are demarcated thereby in the direction Lt substantially orthogonal to the projecting direction Ou. The small sections 28 are formed to be surrounded by the ribs 24 at four or three sides by arranging a plurality of plate-shaped ribs 24 in a lattice manner. This interior trim material 22 is injection-molded with hard resin such as polypropylene and polyethylene, and demarcated by the plate-shaped ribs 24, and the compressive pads 26 are fitted in the small sections 28. These pads 26 are formed in the length to be projected outward by the distance A, and this constitution allows the shock to be absorbed.
