Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance a reading rate by forming a base material from synthetic paper made of polyester and setting the thickness and opacity of a pressure- sensitive sheet made of the synthetic paper to predetermined ranges. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic paper made of polyester is used as a base material and a microcapsule containing an electron donating color former and an electron acceptive coupler are applied to the base material to form a pressure-sensitive recording sheet. In this case, the thickness of the pressure-sensitive recording sheet is set to 50mum or less and the opacity thereof is set to 70% or more. The microcapsule and the coupler are applied to the base material separately or simultaneously. The electron donating color former is dissolved in oil to be microencapsulated and mixed with a low pressure destruction inhibitor and a binder to be used as a microcapsule compsn. The microcapsule may be applied to the rear surface of the base material. The electron donating color former to be used has significant absorption within a wavelength region of 620-720nm.
