MODIFICATION OF MAN CONVEYOR

PURPOSE:To shorten a period of time to continue to stop a man conveyor at the time of modifying it by carrying out centering by way of stretching two pieces of piano wires between center poles at roughly uniform intervals on both sides from the central line of the man conveyor in the forwarding direction. CONSTITUTION:On the upper end part of a center pole 5 respectively provided on a frame l on both side parts of a man conveyor in the forwarding direction, a rod 6 is inserted and fixed. On this rod 6, V-shaped machined-grooves 6a, 6b, 6c are formed with roughly uniform intervals between them, piano wires are wound around each of these grooves, a central piano wire 8b is made to agree with the central line of the frame 1 in the forwarding direction, and piano wires 8a, 8c are stretched and provided. Accordingly, centering work of parts to install on the left side of the man conveyor is carried out by using a plumb bod 7a suspended on the piano wire 8a, and centering work of parts to install on the right side is carried out by using a plumb bob 7c suspended on the piano wire 8c. Consequently, the left and right centering works can be carried out at the same time in parallel, and it is possible to shorten a period of time to continuously stop the man conveyor at the time of modifying it.
