SURGICAL APPLIANCE

PURPOSE:To make an appliance body rotatable around the axis of its front end without oscillating a surgical operating means when this appliance body is bent in mid-way by providing an operating part with a handle part for operat ing the surgical operating means via transmission member and a rotating mem ber for rotating the front end around the appliance body via this transmission member. CONSTITUTION:This surgical appliance (forceps) is mainly used for under- laparoscope operation and is composed of the long-sized appliance body 2, the front end on the front end side of the appliance body 2, the operating part 9 on the base end side of the appliance body 2 and the long-sized transmission member 6 which connects the front end and the operating part 9. The appliance is provided with a handle part 92 composed of a stationary handle 93 and moving handle 94 of the operating part 9 for remotely opening and closing the surgical operating means disposed on the base end side of the appliance body 2. A converting means 8 for converting the turning of the moving handle 94 to the longitudinal movement of the transmission member 6 and transmitting the turning power generated by rotational operation of a knob 98 to the transmission member 6 is installed within the operating part body 9.
