CONSTITUTION: A thermal insulation material for the inner regions of combustion plants and gas turbine 1 is exposed to destructive action of hot gas of these plants. The thermal insulation material 3 is provided, in a region on the surface 3S thereof touching hot gas, with a protective member 5. The protective member 5 is formed of a rod-like or planar reinforcing member 5 and built partially or completely in the surface 3S.
