MULTISTORY PARKING SPACE

PURPOSE:To reduce cost and facilitate entering and leaving operations by installing a pallet magazine inside shelf groups which are located in the vertical direction of an inlet and an exit. CONSTITUTION:A stacker crane 1 is formed with a running member and a lifting mount which lifts up and down the running member and two sets of forks 2A and 2B. A large number of shelf groups 4 and 5 are installed on both sides of a running passage 3. The shelf groups 4 and 5 are located over the entrances 12A and 12B. In the entrances 13A and 13B, after people in a car leaves the car, a car-loaded pallet is lifted up to a second floor with lifters 12A and 12B and carried to a transfer opening with conveyers 11A and 11B where the car loaded pallet is housed with the stack crane 1. A vacant pallet is supplied to the lifters 12A and 12B from a pallet magazine 33. A car loaded pallet which leaves the parking space is conveyed to the lifter 12A and 12B from the stacker crane 1 and carried out to an exit.
