CONTROLLER FOR MANDREL MILL

PURPOSE:To unnecessitate mesurement for characterizing a bar at the time of the next rolling and to enable the prevention of initial defective quality by making the trend control of the quality of a mandrel bar possible and also executing the tracking control of all information of the mandrel bar which is housed in a bar storehouse. CONSTITUTION:This controller is provided with an arithmetic processor 3 for estimating the intrinsic properties of the mandrel bar used at the time of manufacturing based on the dimension and quality informations of a product after rolling, bar tracking controller 4 with which the intrinsic properties of the mandrel bar that is estimated about each mandrel bar 1 which is in rolling or held in the storehouse after use with the arithmetic processor 3 are stored and controlled and the intrinsic properties of the mandrel bar is outputted at the time of reusing the mandrel bar 1 held in the storehouse, rolling controller 6 for initializing the number of revolution of roll and interval of a mandrel mill 5 based on the intrinsic properties of mandrel bar that is outputted with the bar tracking controller 4.
