ELECTRIC WIRE SUPPORTING INSULATOR APPARATUS AND BYPASS CONDUCTOR INSTALLING METAL FITTING USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To prevent melted jointing metal fitting units loss due to Joule's heat at the time when lightning surge current invades the units and improve the durability of the units. CONSTITUTION:A first rectangular clevis link 11 is jointed to an installation plate 2 of a steel tower 1 by a joint pin 12 in the way the link can rotate and a second rectangular clevis link 13, a first joint link 15, a second joint link 17, and a horn installing metal fitting 19 are joined to the link 11 by joint pins in the way they can rotate. The clevis of a cap metal fitting 21 set and fixed in the upper end part of a supporting insulator 4 is jointed to the horn installing metal fitting 19 by a joint pin 22 in the way the clevis can rotate. An arc ring 23 in the earthing side to prevent flashover along the face of the supporting insulator 4 is attached to the horn installing metal fitting 19 by a bolt 24. A first and a second bypass conductors 27, 28 are connected between the second link 17 and the arc ring 23.
