PUBLIC UTILIZATION TYPE TERMINAL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To keep storing the exceeding part of a program in a RAM even when a new service control program becomes larger than an old service control program in size and exceeds an EEPROM capacity in an equipment for down- loading a service control program through a line. CONSTITUTION:By using volatile RAMs 1-16 and 2-17 which are more inexpensive than an EEPROM 15 and a back-up battery 18 for storing the down-loaded program and making a RAM capacity larger than the EEPROM capacity, the new service control program larger than the old service control program in size is down-loaded. Also, since the old service control program can be left in the EEPROM 15 when down-loaded data are not normally stored in the RAM, a situation where service can not be provided at all is evaded.
