An interval between the fingers 15, 15 can be increased by force from the outside acting on the fingers 15, 15 under the state of being regulated at a predetermined value. In order to out off the side gates 22, 22, the synthetic resin formation 26 with the side gates left is fixingly arranged on an axial extension line at the front of the air chuck cylinder 1, and the air chuck cylinder 1 is advanced axially under the state of the interval being regulated at the predetermined value, and edge tips 18a, 18a receive force from the peripheral surface 23a of a synthetic resin formation main body portion and the interval is increased, so the edge tips 18a, 18a slide on the curved surface 23a of the synthetic resin formation main body and cut off the side gates 22, 22.
