Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a system for obtaining with ease picture images of tissues in the desired region of a human body, e.g. blood vessels, muscular tissues, etc., in the surface layer by forming picture images after distinguishing various tissues from data on three-dimensional pictures taken by a MRI system first and extracting data on both the surface and inside of respective tissues. CONSTITUTION:Data on a picture image consisting of three-dimensional pixels taken by a MRI system are stored in a magnetic disk 201 and, simultaneously, processed for producing an image by CPU 202 provided with a memory. While specific command signals are inputted to the CPU 202 from a keyboard 203 and a mouse 204, a processed picture image is outputted to a display 205 from the CPU 202. In this case, desired data on a picture image in the region interested are distinguished from data on other picture images by difference in the value of respective pixels. A set of the outermost pixels are distinguished from the rest among the data on %picture image in the interested region. Further, a set of pixels located within a desired number of pixels inwardly from the outermost pixels are distinguished for image processing by a projective method.
