Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain magnetooptic sensor whose reliability is enhanced in use for a long period by a method wherein a reflecting prism, a polarizer, a magneto optical element and the like are fixed to a case by a low melting point glass. CONSTITUTION:A first reflecting prism 3, a polarizer 6, a magneto-optical element 8, an analyzer 10 and a second reflecting prism 11 are fixed to a case 15, by using a low melting point glass 14, in at least one place outside a light path. At this time, when the optical components are fixed to the case 15, their positions are adjusted to individual holders 5, 7, 9 via the powder of the low- melting-point glass, the low melting point glass is melted in an electric furnace, the glass is cooled and hardened, and the optical components are fixed. Thereby, it is possible to obtain a magnetooptic sensor whose surroundings resistant property is enhanced, whose high characteristic can be obtained stably for a long period and whose reliability is enhanced.
