Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To main a composition for use in producing a urethane resin lens excellent in heat resistance and surface hardness and having reduced water absorption and a high refractive index by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising a specific polyisocyanate, a specific polythiol, and a specific polythiol compound. CONSTITUTION:A monomer mixture is polymerized which comprises a polyisocyanate represented by the formula (wherein X is H or methyl, R is a chlorine or bromine atom, methyl, or ethyl, m is 0-4, and n is 2-4), 1,2-bis[(2- mercaptoethyl)thio]-3mercaptopropane, and at least one member selected from an aromatic compound substituted with 5-6 mercaptomethyl groups, a cyclohexane derivative substituted with 3-4 mercaptomethyl groups 1-(2- mercaptoethyloxy)-2,4-bis(mercaptomethyl)benzene, and 2,6,2'',6''-tetrakis(mercaptomethyl)-1,1': 3',1''-terphenyl.
