REINFORCING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE BODY REAR SIDE PART

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a warp in the lower part, of an outer quarter panel constituting a vehicle rear side part by arranging a brace connecting the lower edge of an upper panel and an inner edge of a wheel house together. CONSTITUTION:In the front part of an inner quarter panel 19, the first opening 25 penetrating laterally is formed, while in the rear part, of the inner quarter panel 19, the second opening 26 which has a wider area than the first opening 25 and penetrates laterally is formed. The first opening 25 and the second opening 26 are arranged so that they penetrate the joint part between an upper panel 20 and an under panel and are arranged adjacently to each other in the forward-backward direction in the vicinity of the upper side of a wheel house 15. A plate brace 28 connecting the lower edge of the inner quarter panel 19 and the inner edge of the wheel house 15 together is arranged. In this way, no warp is caused in the lower part, of an outer quarter panel 18, so that dimensional precision in the vehicle rear side part, is improved.
