Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To decide whether or not a CR oscillator is used at the time of power interruption without adding a terminal. CONSTITUTION:A discrimination switching circuit 14 receives both of a signal B from a crystal oscillator 10 and a signal D from a CR oscillator 12. The CR oscillator 12 outputs a clock signal as the signal D when a capacitor C mounted outside and a resistor R are connected to it, but it outputs only an H level signal when it is fixed to power supply voltage VDD. Then, when the discrimination switching circuit 14 recognizes power down mode by a signal A, it detects an L level of the signal D, selects the signal D, and since the signal D is fixed to an H level, the signal B is selected.
