Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a (meth)acrylic acid tetrahydrobenzyl ester useful as e.g. a raw material for a paint, a lens, etc., in high efficiency, selectivity and yield by ester interchange reaction of tetrahydrobenzyl alcohol with a (meth)acrylic acid ester in the presence of a tin compound. CONSTITUTION:This (meth)acrylic acid tetrahydrobenzyl ester is obtained by ester interchange reaction of tetrahydrobenzyl alcohol with a (meth)acrylic acid ester, e.g. methyl (meth)acrylate in the presence of a tin compound, e.g. a dialkyl tin compound as a catalyst (the usage is preferably 0.25-2mol% based on tetrahydrobenzyl alcohol). Further, the ratio of the tetrahydrobenzyl alcohol to the (meth)acrylic acid ester is preferably in the range of 1/2-1/5 in terms of molar ratio.
