MAGNIFIED READING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To display magnified characters as many as possible on a display screen by identifying and separating a character string desired to read character by character and arranging it in arrangement easiest to read for a user. CONSTITUTION:An image inputted from an image input part 6 is stored in primary image memory 21 as image data in an image processing device 7. A character string recognizing part 22 detects a space part between the characters fetched in the primary image memory 21, and recognizes space. A character image dividing part 23 divides the image fetched in the primary image memory 21 into image information at every character, and stores a division character image signal in secondary image memory 24 with the order of arrangement. A display control part 25 displays the character stored in the secondary image memory 24 on a TV monitor 8 via an image output part 27 according to a display method designated by a display system designating part 26 by the user.
