CONTROLLER FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To optimally exclude excess heat responsive to a heater temperature and to prevent deterioration of the heater due to excess heat of the heater or a deformation of an indoor unit by altering a time for operating a blower after an operation is stopped according to a difference of the temperature of the heater estimated from a current value at the time of energizing the heater and a set temperature. CONSTITUTION:The controller for an air conditioner comprises heater current detecting means 1 for detecting a current of a heater, heater temperature estimating means 2 for estimating a surface temperature of the heater from the detected current value, temperature comparing means 3 for comparing the estimated temperature with a set temperature, air flowing state detecting means 5 for detecting an operating state of a blower of an indoor unit, heat exchanger temperature detecting means 7 for detecting an indoor heat exchanger, filter clogging detecting means 5 for detecting a clogging state of the filter installed on a front surface of the indoor heat exchanger, and operation control means 4 for controlling an operation of the conditioner.
