Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To stabilize a position of ignition while maintaining a capacity of incineration by a method wherein a gas for drying is blown against materials to be incinerated on the inlet side of the main body of an incinerator, humidifying water is sprayed on the materials in a drying area, a combustion exhaust gas taken out from the outlet side is used for the gas for drying and the drying and humidification are controlled on tire basis of a temperature in each area in the incinerator. CONSTITUTION:On the inlet side of the main body 1 of an incinerator, a nozzle 17 for drying which blows a gas for drying against materials 6 to be incinerated in a drying area A and dries them and a nozzle 19 for humidification which sprays water on the materials and humidifies them are provided, while an exhaust gas supply pipe 30 taking out an exhaust gas from an exhaust route 24 of the main body 1 of the incinerator and supplies it to the nozzle 17 for drying is provided. The nozzle 17 for drying and the nozzle 19 for humidification are operated on the basis of detected values of a thermometer 11 detecting a temperature in the drying area A on the inlet side of the main body 1 of the incinerator, a thermometer 12 detecting the temperature in a burning area B in the central part and a thermometer 13 detecting the temperature in a post-burning area C on the outlet side. According to this constitution, it is made possible to maintain a position of ignition in the main body of the incinerator stably at a prescribed position.
