METHOD FOR MEASURING PRESSURE AND INSTRUMENT THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of dust from a detecting hole and the clogging caused by the sticking of metal without impairing pressure measuring function caused by gas purge and without developing expansion cracking caused by heat, in a method for obtaining the pressure in a blast furnace by detecting the pressure of gaseous nitrogen while purging the gaseous nitrogen through the detecting hole fitted to a shaft part of the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:Several pieces of high alumina quality gas permeable porous bricks 6 are pushed in the detecting hole 2. In the detecting hole, vises 8 are screwed on the circumference at fixed intervals in the axial direction so as to project the tips into the detecting hole, and on the other hand, a notching part is formed at the peripheral edge of the end surface of the brick 6 and the positioning of the brick 6 is executed by fitting the tip part of the vis to the notching part. In order to improve the seal property between the brick 6 and the detecting hole 2, monolithic refractory is filled up.
