HEAT-INSULATED CONTAINER

PURPOSE:To make variable the heat-insulating performance of a container, consisting of a container main body which has a double-wall filled with a filler and evacuated inside and a lid, by adjusting the fittingness of a lid on the container main body according to an inside temp. CONSTITUTION:A container main body 1 and a lid 2 are made up of exterior and interior walls made of austenite stainless steel. The closed spaces between the exterior and interior walls are evacuated and filled with silica fine powder to form a composite heat-insulating layer. The lid 2 is formed into a cap-like shape, and its circumferential wall 3 is lower than the height of a fitting shoulder part 4 around the circumference of a top opening of the container main body 1 so that the lid 2 is lightly fitted on the fitting shoulder 4. When the inside of the container main body 1 becomes high- temperatures, the thermal expansion of the interior wall of the lid 2 becomes larger than that of the exterior wall. Therefore, as the interior wall of the lid 2 that is fixed by a post 5 in the middle warps upward along the circumference. As a result, a small gap is produced in the fitting part between the lid 2 and the container main body 1 to allow the heat inside the container main body 1 to escape outside, so that the heat-insulating performance of a heat-insulated container can be automatically reduce.
