Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a rectifier wherein its input power factor of about 100%, can be realized, and both by the reduction of its sound pressure level and by the distribution of the components of its sound pressure the rasping electromagnetic sounds from its reactor can be reduced considerably, by making the AC input current of the rectifier follow its AC input voltage at a high speed through a simple configuration comprising only the arithmetic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an analog computation means. CONSTITUTION:In a rectifier 10, on the input side of a rectifier circuit 2 comprising switching devices, a reactor 4 is provided, and on its DC side, a capacitor 6 is provided. In this rectifier 10, the switching device is ON-OFF controlled by its ON-time which is computed through the analog-computation signal- processing of the values sensed from at least one-values of both instantaneous and estimated values relative to the AC voltage, AC current and DC output voltage of the rectifier 10.
