INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To distribute newspapers through satellite communication to subscriber households. CONSTITUTION:A newspaper editing and distribution system 1 at a newspaper head office electronically prepares the page spaces of the national edition newspaper and transmits them through a communication satellite to newspaper branch offices 2. At a newspaper editing and broadcast system 2 of each newspaper branch office, newspaper data synthetically editing received newspaper data and local edition newspaper data are ciphered and broadcasted through the communication satellite after adding the class of the newspaper and the date of publication to them. At a domestic terminal 5 of each household, the newspaper data broadcasted from the newspaper branch office 2 are received and deciphered by using a previously possessed key and the newspaper data, for which the class of the newspaper and the date of publication are matched with previously set contracted contents, are temporarily stored. Afterwards, the page spaces of the newspaper are reproduced and displayed corresponding to a request from a user.
