Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a catalogue by reading out information relating to plural commodities from a recording medium recording it, selecting a commodity relating to displayed information and preparing order information. CONSTITUTION:When a consumer requests a catalogue by a telephone system, a postal matter or the like, a trader checks whether the consumer has been registered as a customer or not by a customer data base 81, and if not registered, registers the consumer. Then the trader sends the catalogue (CD-ROM 10) in accordance with the request. The consumer loads the sent CD-ROM 10 on a player 1 to reproduce it, display recorded commodity information on a monitor and retrieve commodities. When necessary, the consumer inquires the stock of the commodities. In response to the inquiry, the computer 8 checks a commodity data base 82 and provides stock information.
