Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable accurate and easy judgement of a residual dimension which relies so far on the experience. CONSTITUTION:Brick 3 of different material being different in thermal conductivity is buried in a brick layer 1 in the parallel direction to a working surface and thereby an end point is determined. A5 large improvement is attained in accurate determination of a residual dimension of the brick layer and the determination of the end point for stable use is ensured. As a result, such a leakage of steel from the brick layer used for a long time as occurring so far is eliminated completely and attainment of the stable use in great safety is enabled.
