SHIELD MACHINE AND SHIELD DRIVING METHOD

PURPOSE:To enhance water stopping function, reduce a construction period and lower construction cost by driving a shield machine and forming a water stop zone, while the surrounding natural ground being excavated and agitated under the feed of a compaction agent. CONSTITUTION:Shield jacks 6 and 6 are expanded on reaction from a segment built behind, thereby driving a shield machine body 1. At the same time, the natural ground of a face is excavated with a cutter body 21, and excavated sediment is taken into the body 1. In this case, the natural ground surrounding the body 1, while being supplied with a compaction agent from compaction agent filling sections 3 and 3, is excavated and agitated with an expanded cutter 22 and an agitation section 4. As a result, the front natural ground of the cutter 22 flows behind via a passage window after excavated and, then, is agitated and mixed with the compaction agent. Thereafter, the agitated and mixed sediment cures in the prescribed time, thereby forming water stopping zones 7 and 7 around the body 1.
