Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a surface treatment agent which, when applied to a base rubber, can impart nonstickness to its surface without detriment to the characteristics of the rubber and can further impart thereto slipperiness and excellent adhesion, etc., of, e.g. an adhesive by constituting it of polymer particles having a specified structure. CONSTITUTION:This agent comprises polymer particles having a core/shell structure in which at least one functional group selected from among OH, alkoxy, COOH, alycidyl and CN is desirably introduced into the polymer constituting the shell (e.g. particles obtained by forming shells by polymerizing methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate in the presence of cores made of a polymer comprising methyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethyacrylate).
