COUPLER COMPOSITION AND PRESSURE-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive recording material forming a recording image excellent in light fastness while holding various characteristics to a high level by constituting a coupler compsn. containing specific allyl ether and a polyvalent metal salt of nucleus substituted salicylic acid in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure-sensitive recording material, the coupling reaction of an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive coupler is utilized. In this case, a coupler compsn. is constituted of 2-60wt.% of one or more kind of allyl ether represented by the formulae I, II and 98-40 wt.% of one or more kind of a polyvalent metal salt of nucleus substituted salicylic acid represented by the general formula III. In the formula I, R1 is a halogen atom or the like and R3-R5 are a hydrogen atom or the like and, in the formula II, R' is an alkylene group being a connection chain and, in the formula III, R6-R9 are a hydrogen atom or the like.
