DISK CARTRIDGE

PURPOSE:To improve opening and closing durability of a shutter, to improve the reliability and to facilitate the assembly by forming a slider shape to have a small contact area with a cartridge body. CONSTITUTION:An opening 11 for inserting a head for recording and reproducing, etc., is formed in approximately the central part of the cartridge body 1. The slider 4 is formed out of a synthetic resin and both ends of the slider 4 are provided with fitting pieces 5, 6. Grooves (or projections) 8 are disposed along the side of the body 1 at its one side part. Projections (or grooves) of the fitting pieces 5, 6 fit to these grooves (or projections) 8. Namely, the slider 4 is freely slidably fitted along one side of the body 1. The surfaces 15 of the projections 14 of the fitting pieces 6 of the slider 4 facing the inner side of the body 1 are formed as wedge-shaped slopes, by which the projections 14 and the grooves 8 of the body 1 are brought into contact with the slopes. The resistance at the time of sliding of the slider 4 is reduced by adopting such line contact structure.
