SIGNAL REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a signal reproducing device with less wow, flutter, etc., with a small size and a simple mechanism in a signal reproducing device used for a tape recorder, etc. CONSTITUTION:A sampling circuit 10 samples a signal read out from a movable recording medium at a frequency of four times or more of the signal frequency. A speed detection circuit 11 detects the moving speed of the movable recording medium. Then, a thinning circuit 12 makes the output of the sampling circuit 10 an output signal every other sample when the output of the speed detection circuit 11 is within a specific range, and makes the output of the sampling circuit 10 the output signal continuously not every other sample, or makes it the output signal every two samples when without the specific range.
