Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide the film type compensation cell for LCD which has color compensation effect for a compensation cell of double STNLCD and can reduce the thickness of the LCD at the same time, and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION: The film type compensation cell 20 for liquid crystal display which includes two compensation films 21 and 22 each having formed orientation grooves on one surface and liquid crystal 23 which are injected between those two compensation films 21 and 22 and twisted in the opposite direction from the liquid crystal 4 of a driving cell 10 of a liquid crystal display device is constituted by forming the orientation grooves formed on one surface of each of the two compensation films by jetting high-temperature, high-pressure gas in a fixed direction and then arranging the two compensation films opposite each other, pressing a roller coating device 31 against the two compensation films after coating the compensation films with liquid crystal, and cutting and sealing the two compressed compensation films to desired size by a compensation film thermal cutting device 34; and the orientation grooves are formed by arranging a nozzle 32 having a jet holes in fixed array at a constant angle to the compensation films and scratching the compensation film surfaces at transition temperature.
