Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide the merchandise housing device for the automatic vending machine capable of operating a merchandise route member as it is even when the merchandise is taken in with the position of stopping the merchandise route member erroneously set. CONSTITUTION:A space which passes only merchandise with a small diameter is formed between the tip of route members 12-14 and a merchandise guide 31 with the merchandise route members 12-14 stopped at the 1st stop position. When the merchandise route members 12-14 are at the 2nd stopped position, a space which passes merchandise with a large diameter is formed between the tips of them and the merchandise guide 31. When the merchandise guide 31 is moved upwards, a restrain shaft 51 is provided to rotate it in the direction which the back of it moves forwards.
