PRODUCTION OF MOLTEN STEEL

PURPOSE:To provide the production method in which molten decarburized slag is left in a converter and hot reuse of the decarburized slag is executed. CONSTITUTION:The decarburized slag, which is generate in the decarburizing treatment of molten iron using a refining vessel, is left in the described refining vessel, after one kind among CaCO3 powder, CaO powder, pulverized carbonic material, or the mixture of two or more kinds among these is blown on the surface of decarburized slag or in the decarburized slag from a lance, which is inserted into furnace and capable of blowing in powdery body, or from a bottom blowing tuyere, a succeeding molten iron is charged and subjected to dephosphorating treatment or decarburizing refining. By this method, sudden boiling generated at molten iron charging and generation of slag forming are suppressed, thus stable operation is made possible.
