PROTECTIVE COVER AND PACKAGING METHOD FOR STEEL SHEET COIL END FACE

PURPOSE:To provide a steel sheet coil end face protective cover and its manufacture, capable of simplifying packaging work and reutilizing the protective cover by recovering the same. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet coil end face protective cover 2 and its manufacture are provided, wherein the protective cover 2 for packaging both end faces of a steel sheet coil 1 is made of hard rubber, rigid polyvinyl chloride or steel and the like and is integrally formed into a mountable shape to have an outer peripheral pad 5 spreading out like an unfolded fan in the direction of a trunk section of the steel sheet coil 1 and an inner peripheral pad 6 tapering in the direction thereof. In this way, packaging work is simplified, the end faces of a product coil can be stably covered with the end face protective cover, a shock against the end faces of the steel sheet coil is eliminated and, moreover, the end face protective covers can be reutilized by recovering the same.
