THREAD INSERTING DEVICE FOR SEWING NEEDLE HOLE

PURPOSE:To dispense with the positioning action of a needle bar in a thread inserting device for a sewing needle hole reciprocatably fitted between the operating position and waiting position of a sewing arm. CONSTITUTION:A hook 16 accessible to the needle hole of a sewing needle 12 fixed to a needle bar 11 from one side is fixed to a guide 17, and the guide 17 is supported by a swing arm 18 movably in the vertical direction. The swing arm 18 is fitted to a sewing arm 10 reciprocatably between the vertical operating position and horizontal waiting position centering on the horizontal axis in the longitudinal direction, and an exciting member 19 exciting the guide 17 upward is provided. The guide 17 is provided with a forked body 17b capable of being brought into contact with the lower end face of the needle bar 11 and positioning the hook 16 to the lower end face of the needle bar 11 and the peripheral face of the sewing needle 12 by pinching the sewing needle 12.
