Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce a sliding noise in a differential magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:At the sliding side of the magnetic head, a first gap is provided between a first core 21 and a second core 22 and further a second gap is provided between the first core and a third core 23. On the other hand, at the opposite side of the sliding side, respective cores of the second and the third cores are joined to the first core. The second gap is positioned at a side nearer the opposite side of the sliding side than the first gap in the axial direction of the first core. Nonmagnetic materials 51, 52, 53 are arranged in both gaps and in the sliding side of the third core.
