ARTICLE STORAGE DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC VENDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To provide the article storage device for the automatic vending machine which is reducible in the front-rear size of the article racks and can smoothly the front and rear article racks with each other with impairing the article storage capacity or while minimizing a decrease in the storage capacity. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with an engagement pin 22 which consists of a neck part 23 and a head part 24 increased in diameter at the tip of the neck part 23, an engagement pin 22 which is provided projecting forward from the front surface of the rear article rack 3, and an engagement hole 32 that consists of an insertion part 32 which has larger opening area than the head part 23 of the engagement pin 22, and an engagement part 34 which extends upward successively to the insertion part 33 and opening width smaller than the head part 24 of the engagement pin 22 and larger than the neck part 23, and is formed in the rear surface of the front article rack 2. The head part 24 of the engagement pin 22 is inserted into the insertion part 33 of the engagement hole 32 and the neck part 23 is engaged with the engagement part 34 to couple both the article racks 2 and 3 with each other.
