DEVELOPING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a developing device preventing the clogging of aggregated toner, etc., from causing between a developing roll and a layer thickness controlling member, for the use of an image forming device applying the electrophotographic method. CONSTITUTION:The layer thickness controlling member 31 is constituted of the press-contact member 31a provided with a press-contact part made of an elastic plate formed into a curved surface of semi-cylindrical shape and the plate like backup member 31b being hardly deformed. One end of the press- contact member 31a is brought into pressurized contact with the backup member 31b so as to be able to slide, and the projecting face side of the pressure- contacting part is brought into pressurized contact with the developing roll 12 so as to be deviated inwards. The pressurized contact part is easily deformed inwards to prevent the clogging of the aggregated toner, etc., and to come into surface-contact with the developing roll 12, thereby the uniformed developer layer is formed.
