PURPOSE:To improve flexibility for supporting any document discharge formats of an upstream device by employing a direction insertion method for directly inserting recording sheets discharged from the upstream device between upper and lower films instead of mounting them onto a tray. CONSTITUTION:An acquisition roller 11 is moved between a first acquisition position that is a bottom insertion method and a second acquisition position that is a top insertion method by acquisition roller position switching mechanisms 11, 12, 13 according to a document discharge format of an upstream device. When a document discharge start signal is input from the upstream device, a controller 200 rotates an acquisition motor M1 at an acquisition part and acquires recording sheets discharged from the upstream device along a horizontal face between surface and rear films 16a, 16b in either the top insertion or bottom insertion method via acquisition rollers 4, 11. Therefore, the sheet is inserted so that an address recorded column on a first page always aligns with the surface film 16a irrespective of the document discharge format.
