CORRUGATED BOARD AND VEHICULAR INTERIOR MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain excellent dimensional stability and shape retention even under elevated temperature and high humidity by a method wherein core and liner are made of glass paper in corrugated board consisting of the core and the liners, which are pasted onto both the sides of the core. CONSTITUTION:Corrugated board 1 consists of corrugated core 2 and liners 3, which are pasted onto both the sides of the core 2. The core 2 and the liner 3 are made of synthetic resin-impregnated glass paper. The glass paper has close structure and has high rigidity even by thin-walled structure. When the corrugated board 1 is formed into the shape of the top of an automobile, for example, with a hot press, thickness-changeable buffering material 4 is placed upon the corrugated board 1 before forming. After forming, skin material 5 is pasted through the buffering material 4 onto the corrugated board 1. Through wrinkle and crack develop in the liner 3 of the corrugated board 1 at the deeply drawn formed portion of the formed top of the automobile, the wrinkle and crack are absorbed through the change of the thickness of the buffering material 4, resulting in preventing unevenness from developing on the surface of the skin material 5.
