ALTERNATING CURRENT GENERATOR FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE: To improve cooling performance and at the same time easily maintain the strength of a cooling fan and manufacture, and to mount the fan. CONSTITUTION: An AC generator has a rotor 3 with an excitation coil winding 10 and a stator 2 for surrounding the outer periphery of the rotor 3, a cooling fan 4b with a plurality of blades 41 is provided at the edge part of the rotor 3, an exit angle formed by a tangential line at the outer-periphery side edge part of the blade 41. The inclination direction of the blade 41 is set to approximately 70 degrees, and the number of blades 41 is increased to approximately 16-17. Also, a cut-out part 44 is provided at the cooling fan 4b, a lead line 10a from the excitation coil winding 10 is led via the cut-out part 44, and at the same time, a rib part for reinforcement is provided around the cut-out part.
