Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide the symbol clock reproducing circuit which stability is high even when received electric field intensity is weak by following the phase of a symbol clock at a base station at high speed so as to instantaneously interrupt speaking in a short time in the case of hand-over at a digital mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION:The symbol clock reproducing circuit is provided with a timing extraction part 61 for extracting a symbol clock component from a received signal, first PLL circuit 62 with a wide phase pulling-in range, second PLL circuit 63 with a narrow phase pulling-in range, first switch 66 for connecting the output of the PLL circuit 62 and the initialized input terminal of the PLL circuit 63, and second switch 67 for connecting the output of the PLL circuit 63 and the initialized input terminal of the PLL circuit 62 and at the time of initially pulling in a symbol clock, phase pulling-in is performed at high speed by setting the output signal phase of the PLL circuit 62 at the output signal phase of the PLL circuit 63 but normally, the output of the PLL circuit 63 is used as the symbol clock.
